FREE Wednesday Afternoon Spreecast with Certified Appellate Specialist, Donna Bader (May 23, 2012, at 3pm PDT)
Tomorrow afternoon I’m going to chat with Donna about this question and more. We’re going to find out what are the most common mistakes she’s seen over the past 32+ years and how we can all avoid making them. You’re invited to join us here… http://www.spreecast.com/events/donna-bader
For those of you who don’t know Donna, here’s a brief background. Since 1980, Donna has been practicing exclusively in the area of civil appeals and writs, with an emphasis on medical and legal malpractice, and personal injury law. Donna has written over 350 appellate briefs and writ petitions.
Donna is also the former Editor-in-Chief of Plaintiff magazine, a new publication that is distributed to over 5,000 Northern California attorneys. She is a former Editor-in-Chief of Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles’ monthly magazine, The Advocate. Donna is also the author of my favorite “how to” trial lawyer/ appellate related book entitled, “An Appeal to Reason”.
During our Spreecast, I’ll ask Donna to share inside tips about (1) the role of attorneys in the appellate process; (2) the most common obstacles she sees attorneys face on appeal; (3) what every trial lawyer needs to know about standards of review; (4) why proper objections are so critically important; (5) the most common law and motion problems; (6) the most common mistakes attorneys make with court reporters; (7) how to make sure your record is clear and complete; (8) how to deal with bad behavior of counsel and (9) what you need to do after the trial is over.
So, as you can see, Donna and I will be covering quite a bit. Make sure to join us at 3pm PDT Wednesday afternoon for this free Spreecast! Click here to RSVP for this free Spreecast.
